Dr. Victoria Januszkiewicz (she/her) is a fellow in maternal fetal medicine at the University of Ottawa. She is originally from New Brunswick and completed her undergraduate degree in kinesiology at the University of New Brunswick. She graduated with her MD from the Faculty of Medicine at Memorial University of Newfoundland in May 2020 and completed her diploma in clinical epidemiology through Memorial University in 2025. Most recently, she graduated from her residency program in obstetrics and gynecology at Queen’s University.
Dr. Januszkiewicz has been passionate about leadership in medicine since she started medical school. During medical school, she served two terms on the Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) Board of Directors. She first served as the CFMS Atlantic Regional Representative (2017/2018), and then as the CFMS Vice President of Communications (2018/2019). Following her time with CFMS she served a term on the Medical Council of Canada General Council as a representative for Canadian medical students (2019/2020). In addition to her work with CMPA during her residency, she was also selected and completed the Postgraduate Medical Education Leadership Certificate Program through the University of Toronto in 2021-2022. She was recognized for her student leadership with the New Brunswick Student Leadership Award in 2018 and the Federation of Medical Women in Canada Student Leadership Award in 2020.
